Nourishing and long- term happiness of students is not only our business; it is our responsibility. We know that a well balanced diet is responsible for our state of minds.
HEALTHY EATING has never been so easy!  Stand at the entrance of a Chartwells café and follow the BALANCED CHOICES identifier to a variety of healthy food choicesIT’S THAT EASY!   
 

Balanced Choices was developed by a task force of registered dieticians, chefs and managers, and provides a wellness vision for our foodservices. Balanced Choices provides options to help all of our customers to “EAT, LEARN and LIVE”

EAT reflects our nutrition standards, defining the quality of our food with customized meals and menus for our campus dining facilities.

LEARN focuses on providing students the nutrition and physical activity education they need to make wise food choices now, which will establish the foundation for them to enjoy a long and healthy life.

LIVE through physical activity and the promotion of a healthy campus environment, our programs assist students to bring our lessons to life.

Choosing Vegetarian

The styles of vegetarian eating are as varied as the reasons for doing so.

Semi-Vegetarians - include limited amounts of animal products - meat, fish, poultry, dairy products, eggs

Lacto-Ovo Vegetarians - include varying amounts of milk products and eggs

Lacto Vegetarians - include varying amounts of milk products

Vegans - include no animal products
