Our Actions: 
- Chartwells uses only 100% compostable and chlorine free disposable napkins. Furthermore the napkin holders are designed such that only one napkin is dispensed at a time. This reduces the amount of napkin waste up to 30%.
- Chartwells has replaced all plastic stir sticks with wooden sticks made from renewable resources. These new stir sticks are also recyclable and compostable.
- Chartwells aims to replace all Styrofoam packaging with compostable and biodegradable packaging.
- Chartwells’ "Lug a Mug" program encourages the use of re-fillable mugs instead of a paper cup/lid/sleeve. A discount on coffee is offered as a reward. 
- Chartwells is reducing the amount of packaging that is being discarded by purchasing condiments such as ketchup, mustard, cream, and milk in bulk.
- Where possible Chartwells purchases local seasonal produce.
