1. HOW DOES THE TAP & SAVE DINING PLAN WORK?

Tap & Save Plans are operated on a declining balance system where funds are added to your OneCard.  Every time you make a purchase from a Chartwells food outlet the amount is subtracted from your balance.

2. WHAT ARE TAP & SAVE DOLLARS?

Tap & Save Dollars is the money that is loaded on your OneCard that can be used to purchase food and beverage items at Chartwells locations.

3. HOW DO I KNOW WHAT PLAN IS BEST FOR ME?

We provide several options to accommodate various life-style and usage needs.  If you are going to eat breakfast and lunch meals a day on campus you should consider an semester plan and make your money go farther by saving 13% taxes.  These are the best value plans.

The Tap & Save Reloadable Plan allows you the flexibility to load an amount that makes the most sense for your dining needs and budget.  Start low and add as you go or load with an annual budget in mind.  Just a coffee drinker with a few snacks here and there consider loading $300 a semester.  If you want a few meals and snacks during the week consider loading $500 a semester.

4. WHICH ITEMS ARE ALLOWED ON A TAX EXEMPT PLAN?

The following items are allowed on a tax exempt plan:

These items can be purchased with the tax exempt plan. Confectionery items without a meal plan are taxable.

5. WHICH PRODUCTS ARE CONSIDERED TAXABLE ITEMS?

These items are taxable when not purchased with a meal

6. WHERE CAN I USE MY DINING PLAN?

Chartwells locations include: The Main Cafeteria, Tim Hortons, Pizza Pizza, Harvey's, Chef's Corner, Thai Express, On The Go, Bento Sushi, Second Cup, Subway, Starbucks, The Grill & Co. at all three Sheridan College locations.

7. WHERE DO I GET THE 5% DISCOUNT?

The 5% discount is applicable for all selected locations at any Chartwells location. Purchases made at these branded locations are regular priced -  Chefs Corner, Harveys, On The Go, Second Cup, The Grill & Co.

8. WHAT ARE EXCLUSIVE SAVINGS PROMOTIONS?

8. Exclusive savings promotions is a membership program that gives you access to savings when you purchase at Chartwells retail locations with your Tap & Save plan. No extra card to hold and no coupons to present, just purchase using your Tap & Save plan to take advantage of membership privileges. 

9. CAN I CARRY MY DINING PLAN FORWARD PER YEAR OR TERM?

Tap & Save Reloadable Dining Plans never expire so keep on using until you run out of funds than visit OneCard to reload more funds on your card.

Tax exempt Semester Dining Plans have expiry dates and after that it would be transferred to Reloadable dining plan.

10. WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN? 

The security of a card remains the cardholder’s responsibility. Cards should be treated like a credit or debit card. If your card is lost or stolen, you must deactivated your card on-line at onecard.sheridacollege.ca 

11. WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGET MY CARD? 

Your activated Tap & Save Card is the key to the whole dining plan system. If you forget it you will have to pay via another method. 

12. WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?

Tax exempt Semester Dining Plans are only refundable if you withdraw from the College. A $50 administration fee will be applied.   

13. HOW DO I PURCHASE MY DINING PLAN?

Dining plans can be ordered online here or at the OneCard offices in all three campuses. OneCard accepts Interac only in office, Master Card and Visa online.

14. WHAT IF I DECIDE TO PURCHASE TAP & SAVE PLAN HALF WAY THROUGH THE SEMESTER? 

Tap & Save Reloadable plans don’t expire so they can be purchased or topped up at any time of the year.  Tax Exempt Plans can be purchased at any time, but they do expire so the earlier you purchase the better.

15. DO TAP & SAVE PLANS EXPIRE?  

Tap & Save Reloadable Plans do not expire.  Any unused Tap & Save dollars from the Reloadable Dining Plan roll over into the next semester.  

Tax Exempt Plans do expire on their specified expiry date, so you will want to use up all your Dining Dollars before the expiry date.
